Dr. Muckley is the Director of Optometric Services at NE Ohio Eye Surgeons in Kent, Ohio where she concentrates in medical glaucoma and post-operative care of the anterior segment. A nationally recognized leader in the profession of optometry, Dr. Muckley currently is the President of the Ohio Optometric Association, where she has served on the Board of Directors for 8 years and also as past Legislative Chair. Dr. Muckley’s passion for managing glaucoma led her to be the 2nd female optometrist to be accepted in the Optometric Glaucoma Society in 2004. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, where she previously served on the Nominating (Chair) and Research Committees. She currently is on the AAO Governance Task Force and AOA Research and Information Committee. She is also the Education Chair of the East West Eye Conference. Dr. Muckley has received many career awards for her service to the profession and patient care, but most notably was recognized in 2008 as the American Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year.
