145 – Building Bridges: Collaborative Care and Oculoplastics

With the advent of modern technology, the changing scope of practice, and development of new treatment protocols the need for collaborative care amongst specialties with optometry is ever growing.  This course sets out to teach fundamentals of collaborative care within the subspecialty of oculoplastic ophthalmology.  We will explore initiating new treatment options including pharmaceutical and surgical care.  We will also set out to define optometry’s role in identifying patients and how to appropriately manage patients both short and long term.
