319 – Scleral and Hybrid Insertion and Removal Workshop

This hands-on class is designed to teach (and review) how to conduct a hybrid (rigid lens center and soft skirt) lens insertion and removal training as well as a scleral contact lens insertion and removal training. Because these lenses use very similar techniques and solutions, it is valuable to learn them together. We will cover care and cleaning along with how to instruct the patient to work up wear time in the lenses. This course will also review the do’s and dont’s of contact lens wear that are crucial for your patients to know and understand. Participants will have the opportunity to work with both hybrid and scleral lenses on themselves and each other.
