Dr. Chris Smiley is a 2001 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During his time at Ohio State Dr. Smiley was actively involved in student government as well as AOSA. He was a member of both the Gold Key International and Beta Sigma Kappa honor societies. Dr. Smiley received the American Optometric Foundation Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care. Dr. Smiley found a way to purchase a two location practice in Central Ohio immediately after graduation. He has since grown Vision Professionals into a successful 5 location, 9 doctor private practice. Dr. Smileypractice focuses on the medical Optometry with an emphasis in specialty contact lenses, particularly patients deemed “hard-to-fit.” He is an active consultant and clinical investigator for numerous companies. Dr. Smiley currently serves as the President of The Ohio State College of Optometry Alumni Society. Additionally, he is on faculty at Ohio State as an Assistant Professor, in which he mentors students that rotate through his practice as part of their fourth year experience.
