Professor Ernst Karl Abbe (1840 – 1905) was a German physicist, known for his work in optics. He defined the amount of chromatic aberration in ophthalmic lenses, known as Abbe Values. For over 1.5 centuries, Abbe values play an important role in improving visual acuity by eliminating chromatism. Why is this important to us as ECPs? It enables us to offer an optical solution that not only provides clear vision, but also comfortable vision.
