The 2024 EastWest Eye Conference is being held at the Columbus Convention Center, in Columbus Ohio.

How do I register to attend the EastWest Eye Conference?

There are Two easy ways to register:

What are the registration fees?

Registration fee includes access to all Exhibit Hall activities, sponsored events, and Conference materials.

OD All Conference Pass – $750.00

CE by the Hour Registration for ODs

Member ODs – $100.00

NonMember ODs – $175.00

Residents – $65.00

Optometric Students – $0.00

Opticians & Optometric Staff – $40.00

How do I receive the staff discount for registering my staff members?

Doctors receive a $5 discount for each staff member they register to bring to EastWest. To obtain this discount, all staff members must register at the same time as the doctor and be registered under the doctor’s name. Begin your registration with the doctor first and add staff members afterwards to receive the discount. Discounts will be automatically applied at the end of the registration process. Once registration is complete and payment is made, additional staff members can be added but will not be eligible for the discount.

What is the definition of Optometry Student and Resident?

An optometric student is defined as an individual currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year optometric program at an Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) approved school or college of optometry.

An optometric resident is defined as an OD participating in a planned program of post-O.D. clinical education that lasts a minimum of twelve months and must be composed of appropriately supervised clinical eye/vision care provided by the resident in one of the following areas:

  •   Family Practice Optometry
  •   Primary Eye Care
  •   Cornea and Contact Lenses
  •   Geriatric Optometry
  •   Pediatric Optometry
  •   Low Vision Rehabilitation
  •   Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation
  •   Ocular Disease
  •   Refractive and Ocular Surgery
  •   Community Health Optometry
  •   Brian Injury Vision Rehabilitation

What is the cost per credit hour of CE?

OD CE – $30 per credit hour

Opticians (OPT) CE – $20 per credit hour

Optometric Staff Member (OSM) CE – $20 per credit hour

OD Workshops – $40 per credit hourOpticians/Optometric Staff Member Workshop – $30 per credit hour

I am an Optician or Optometric Staff Member Registrant, can I take an OD course?

There are some OD courses that are also available to Opticians and Optometric Staff Member registrants. If you are an Optician or an Optometric Staff Member and choose to enroll in an OD course, you must pay the OD price of $30 per credit hour. Please contact Jordan Quickel at 614-781-0708 to be added to an OD course.

What courses can students enroll?

Students are welcome to enroll in OD or OSM/OPT courses. However, because of limited space, students cannot enroll in workshops.

How do I know if the course I want to register for is approved for the CE I need?

When will I receive my registration packet, name badge, course handouts, etc.?

Your registration packet, name badge and course tickets will be available on-site at the EastWest registration desk.  All course handouts and evaluations will be available online before the conference. Please print only what you need and bring to EastWest with you.

No, both hotels are in close walking distance to the Convention Center.

What are the Exhibit Hall dates and times?

Thursday, October 24         4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Friday, October 25            8:00 am – 4:00 pm

What are sponsored events?

Sponsored events are non-CE breakfast or lunch seminars sponsored by a company/vendor. Sponsored events are included with the registration fee; however, since space is limited you must pre-register on the registration form for the events you wish to attend.

What is the Friday night party?

The exclusive Friday Night Party at the North Atrium of the Convention Center is optometry’s social event of the year. Live entertainment by Bad Habits, dancing, desserts and drinks. Tickets are $15 each. Attire is casual.

What is the poster session?

One hour of CE will be available for doctors viewing the Posters Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. when the authors are present.
